Update Sun 18/6 – Pangai Junior is still $67 for FTS & LTS on Bet365.

The Sharks are huge favourites in this game with the news that Matt Burton is in the Blues squad and Nicho Hynes was left out completely. Hynes plays on the Sharks’ right side and Burton and Addo-Carr who are in the Blues squad are on the Dogs’ left side. This is why we like the same game multi of Nikora & Ramien to both score a try at $5.50. Edit – it’s way higher odds on Neds + Topsport. Around $6.30-$7.

Pangai Junior scored the first try of the game two weeks ago at $67 for us a couple of weekends ago. The Bulldogs are unlikely to score many tries today – but Pangai Junior will be fired up after being dropped from the Origin side and we’re backing him in again at $67 to score the first try. He’s also the same price for the last try which is also a value play.

Knights v Roosters

Sat 17/6, 3pm

Try Scorer Value Tips

Tyson Gamble FTS @ $34 + FTS2H @ $31 on Neds/Ladbrokes

Jacob Saifiti FTS @ $67 on Neds/Lads

Egan Butcher FTS @ $34 on Topsport/365/Neds

Nat Butcher 1st, 2nd or 3rd try scorer on TAB @ $19 (This won at $19s!)

Update Sat 17/6 – Gamble is still the same odds for both markets on Neds/Ladbrokes.

Tyson Gamble has been in decent form for the Knights – he’s scored 2 tries in his 8 games in the halves in 2023. He’ll be running at the Roosters’ rookie half Sandon Smith and our model loves the $34 for him to score first.

We also announced Jacob Saifiti at $67 to score the first try to our Premium members when it was confirmed he’d be starting for his brother Daniel. That price is still available. The Roosters pack is missing Radley, Brandon Smith and Matt Lodge. We love this play for him to crash over early.

Egan Butcher is $34 to score the first try on Topsport, 365 & Neds/Lads. We like the price here but also the matchup – next to Keary and running at Sandon Smith the rookie half.

Edit: Sandon Smith is on the Roosters team too – meant Egan would be running at the Knights edge with Lucas (rookie 2nd rower)!

Nat Butcher is $19 to score the 1st, 2nd or 3rd try on TAB. It’s not an amazing price for a middle forward but he does know how to find the try line and in a game missing some of the usual stars we don’t mind this play.

Eels v Manly

Sat 17/6, 5.30pm

Try Scorer Value Tips

Haumole Olakau’atu ATS @ $4, 1st, 2nd or 3rd try @ $9 on TAB

Sean Russell FTS @ $12 on Topsport

Taniela Paseka & Toa Sipley FTS & LTS @ $67 on Neds/Lads, Topsport, TAB

Update Sat 17/6 – Haumole is now $3.60 ats on Betr. He’s now $6-7 for 1st, 2nd or 3rd try on TAB & SB which isn’t good value anymore. Sean Russell still $11 on Betr for FTS. Paseka and Sipley are still available for $67 for FTS & LTS across Bluebet, Unibet and Neds/Ladbrokes.

Sipley and Paseka are running at an Eels pack with no Paulo, Hodgson, Lane and Wiremu Greig. Both sides are missing players but we like the $67 price for Lachy Croker to put one of these two over.

Haumole Olakauatu’s price going off his career strike rate would be less than $3. We mentioned he was $4 (and great odds for other ts markets) to our Premium members. But we still love the $3.60+ on offer for an Eels left edge with Dylan Brown missing and Bryce Cartwright likely defending there.

Tigers v Storm

Sat 17/6, 7.35pm

Try Scorer Value Tips

Jahrome Hughes ATS @ $4 + FTS Team @ $15 & LTS @ $26 on TAB

Starford To’a ATS @ $5.80 on Sportsbet

Fonua Pole FTS, 2nd TS & LTS @ $81 on TAB

Jake Simpkin FTS @ $51 on Neds/Ladbrokes

Reimis Smith ATS @ $3.6 on Neds/Ladbrokes

NRL Round 16 Try Scorer Odds Comparison Tool

Update Sat 17/6 – Hughes is $3.70 ats on Bet365. His LTS & FTS team odds are a bit shorter but still OK on TAB. Starford To’a is. now $6 ATS on Betr. Pole is now $67 FTS on Bluebet and Unibet which is OK against a weakened Storm outfit. Simpkin is $51 FTS on Neds and 365. Reimis is now $4.10 on Neds/Ladbrokes which is great value.

Jahrome Hughes is still an excellent price for try scorer markets. We mentioned he was $4 to score anytime to our Premium members. However, with Grant and Munster missing, everything the Storm do will go through Hughes and we love the price for him.

Reimis Smith should be priced around $3 according to our model, his career strike rate and most bookies. He’s now $4 to score anytime on Neds/Ladbrokes which is clear value. He’s on Hughes’ right side edge which should see more ball as well.

Starford To’a has moved from the centres to the halves with Brooks injured. He had an incredible game a couple of weeks ago and playing against a Storm side missing so many players – we think the price around $6 (on Betr) now is great value.

Jake Simpkin loves scooting from dummy half. Playing at home against a weakened Storm outfit, we love the $51 on offer for him to score first.
