Raiders v Roosters

Sunday 5th June, 4.05pm

Try Scorers

Matt Timoko FTS/LTS @ $31 on Pointsbet

Connor Watson FTS 2nd Half @ $67 on TAB

Adam Elliott FTS @ $67 on TAB

Hudson Young FTS/LTS @ $41 on Bet365

NRL Stats
NRL Tips

Matt Timoko has impressed for the Raiders this year as a strong ball runner. Our model loves the $31 on offer for him on Pointsbet and against a Roosters side with no Teddy, Tupou & Radley we love the price as well.

If Connor Watson starts off the bench, the $67 on offer for him to score the first try in the 2nd half on TAB is a great price. A strong ball runner against a Raiders team missing Papalii & Wighton, we think this is great value.

Elliott & Young have been in great form this season. Whilst Young has scored in 4/10 games in 2022, the Elliott pick is based more-so on his strong runs with the ball in hand in recent weeks. With Papalii missing, we expect him to continue his red hot form and hopefully crash over early.

NRL Draftstars

Zac Woolford has been excellent since his debut 3 weeks ago and we think he’s still underpriced at $9,700 given Ricky Stuart’s willingness to give him an increased role, even at the expense of Tom Starling.

Xavier Savage is a freak footballer and we think he’s a great pick at $9,000 given his potential upside against an understrength Roosters outfit.

Although Crichton & Tapine are good picks in this contest with a few forwards missing, we love Adam Elliott & Nat Butcher at their prices. Both have been in great form, with Butcher averaging over 55 in his last 3 games and Elliott looking like he has a big NRL Draftstars score just around the corner with his high energy runs being integral to the Raiders’ resurgence.

Titans v Cowboys

Thursday 2nd June, 7.50pm

Try Scorers

Tom Gilbert First Try Scorer (FTS) @ $31 on Topsport

Reece Robson FTS @ $38 on Topsport

Sam Lisone FTS 2nd Half @ $101 on TAB

Beau Fermor FTS/LTS @ $29 on Bet365

NRL Stats
NRL Tips

The Cowboys are missing a few players due to State of Origin but they’ve been in red hot form in 2022 and the Titans have been poor in defence all season. Gilbert & Fermor have already scored the first try in 2 games this season & Robson has done it 3 times in his 58 game career.
Lisone is more of an instinct pick. He’s been in good form coming off the bench for the Titans and will be up against a weaker Titans pack, so we love the $101 price for him to get over first in the second half.

NRL Player Performance Markets

Robson has played 70 or more minutes in 7 games this season. His lowest player performance (PP) score across those games is 52.5. That’s where Sportsbet have set his line at for Thursday night’s game against the Titans. We think betting on the overs is a great play, with the Cowboys pack missing key players due to State of Origin commitments. Jake Granville is on the bench, but Robson still played 80 minutes last week even though Granville was on the bench then also.

NRL Draftstars

Sam McIntyre & Heilum Luki are the two players we’ve rated 9 or 10/10 value according to their projected scores. Not only has David Fifita caused chaos for NRL Supercoach & NRL Fantasy players, with him & Nanai in the Origin squad, both McIntyre & Luki should get close to 80 minutes significantly surpass their recent scores around 30.

‘The Hammer’ will likely get free reign in attack so we think he’s an excellent pick at $9,000 as well as Reece Robson & Jason Taumalolo who will need to step up with some of the Cowboys’ stars off on Origin duty.

Jayden Campbell & Toby Sexton have been steadily improving over the last few weeks but we think this is NRL Draftstars contest is a great opportunity to fade them. The Cowboys may be missing some of their stars but they have a top 4 defence in 2022 & with the Titans missing big Tino & David Fifita, we think going with value options in the Cowboys pack & staying away from the unpredictable Titans young guns may be the way to go in this $20,000 contest.

Panthers v Bulldogs

Friday 3rd June, 7.55pm

Try Scorers

Josh Jackson FTS @ $81 on Bet365

Paul Vaughan FTS/LTS @ $81 on TAB

Raymond Faitala-Mariner FTS or FTS 2nd Half @ $51 on Neds

NRL Stats
NRL Tips

Josh Jackson paying $81 to score the first try in a game against a weakened Panthers outfit while starting in the 2nd row is a great price. We’ve mentioned Paul Vaughan’s try scoring abilities for the last few weeks, so we won’t repeat it all again but the $81 for him to score first (or last) @ $81 is a great value play. RFM will be a constant threat on the edge for the Bulldogs, up against a weakened Panthers outfit so we love the $51 on offer for him to score the first try or the first try in the second half. $51 is noticeably higher than our model’s odds ($37) & his historical strike rate converted to betting odds ($45) as well as 1.5x the odds you can find for him on any other site.

NRL Draftstars

Raymond Faitala-Mariner is a talented football player who has disappeared from the radar of most rugby league fans over the last couple of years. He’s priced at $9,000 and will be a great way to start building your NRL Draftstars team for this contest if he can get close to the 45 points we have him projected for.

With the Panthers missing 6 players due to State of Origin commitments, there is a lot of value in their team, especially in their forward pack. Players like Kikau & Fisher-Harris will be popular in this contest but we think Scott Sorenson could be a standout pick at $12,200 with a ceiling range of 56 and projected to score 39 points.

Sea Eagles v Warriors

Saturday 4th June, 7.35pm

Try Scorers

Euan Aitken FTS/LTS @ $29 on Bet365

Jack Murchie FTS @ $67 on TAB

Aaron Pene FTS 2nd Half @ $81 on TAB

NRL Stats
NRL Tips

Murchie will most likely play on the edge, so $67 for an edge backrower against a Manly side with no DCE & Tom Trbojevic is ridiculously good odds.

Aitken has been in great form in the back row in 2022. He’s scored a try in 3 of his 11 games, so we love the $29 for him First/Last Try scorer on Bet365.

Aaron Pene is another instinct pick, mainly based on the way he has been playing over the last few weeks for the Warriors. With no Lodge & AFB, he’ll almost definitely be playing around the 40-55th minute when the first try of the second half is likely to be scored. We love the $81 on offer him to get over early in the 2nd half.

NRL Draftstars

The value in this contest will be in the Warriors pack. Fonua-Blake, Lodge & Curran are missing from the Warriors’ pack and those minutes and base stats will need to be made up somewhere. Murdoch-Masila at $9,000 seems like a clear value pick. However, we think Tohu Harris & Jazz Tevaga will also be great picks even though they are priced close to $20k.

With DCE & Tom Trbojevic missing from the Sea Eagles outfit, we think the Manly attacking weapons could be good options to fade in this NRL Draftstars contest. Olakau’atu & Saab on DCE’s right edge seem like the best options to leave out of your team.NRL Draftstars Stats Bible
