So BBL 13 begins on Thursday, 7 December with Heat v Stars and we’re pumped for this one because we’ve got a lot of plans for the 2023/24 BBL Supercoach season!

We had a blast with BBL Supercoach last year – a league with prizes, which was super competitive with some excellent players, and some great content on picks for each round.

This year, we want to do all that and so much more.

Done – so what prizes do you have?

We have a total prize pool of $500 to start with (more on this in a second) which is split up as follows:

• $250 for the highest total score at the end of the season
• $100 for the 2nd highest total score at the end of the season
• $50 for the 3rd highest total score at the end of the season

Besides prizes for doing well at BBL Supercoach, we’ve got two more fun prizes:

• $50 for best team name
• $50 for the best contributor to the Wicky socials/Discord across the season

But that’s not all – we’re also going to increase the total prize pool & the number of people who get prizes depending on how many people join our BBL Supercoach league.

Here’s how it’ll work:

• Currently, we have a $500 pool & prizes for the top 3
• If we hit 100 players in our league, we’ll add $50 to the prize pool & those $50 will go to the next highest finisher (4th place, in this case)
• For every 50 people who join our league after that, we’ll add $50 more to the prize pool, which will go to the next highest finisher – 5th, 6th, 7th etc.

To summarise, we’re starting with a total prize pool of $500 with the top 3 highest scorers at the end of the season each getting a piece of that pie.

If 100 people join our league, $50 is added to the prize pool, which goes to the 4th highest scorer.

If 150 people join our league, another $50 is added to the prize pool, which goes to 5th place, and so on.

So yes, inviting your mates to join our league increases your chances of winning a prize.

Tons of stuff! We’ve recently started a new BBL Supercoach podcast called BBL Supercoach Watch.

You’ll find this show in one handy YouTube playlist here and on all major podcast platforms.

The latest episode will always be on our Linktree in video and audio.

We’ll have a bunch of preseason pods covering different aspects of the game + a new show every BBL Supercoach round (so 9 in total over the course of season 2023/24) discussing trades, captaincy, and stats for that round.

That’s not all – we’ll also have a BBL Supercoach Watch article every BBL Supercoach round (again, 9 in total over the course of season 2023/24).

The article will have insights into the venues, teams, and relevant head-to-head matchups for that particular round.

I’m new to BBL Supercoach/looking for an edge – got anything for me?

You bet! We’ve launched two BBL Supercoach player comparison dashboards, one for batters and one for bowlers.

These interactive dashboards help you compare players on a number of BBL Supercoach-specific stats.

You can also set your choice of filters to size up picks.

Both dashboards have historical data since the 2020/21 BBL season.

You can access the batters dashboard by clicking here. The stats filters are draggable & thus you can set upper and lower limits to make your search even more specific.

The bowlers dashboard can be found here. In addition to Supercoach-specific stats, you’ll also find the % split of when each bowler bowled their deliveries in this one – handy in case you’re scouting picks by role!

If you want to view both simultaneously, we’ve also put them both on a single page on this website.

That’s not all – we’ve also recently launched a player stats portal for men’s T20 cricket, which is available here.

Users can navigate this tool by scrolling through or typing in the dropdown menus.

Historical player performance numbers are available, as of this writing, for four T20 leagues including the BBL for the time period 2020-23.

Batting and bowling stats are broken down by venue, opponent, and phase of game.

There are also batting numbers broken down by bowling type as well as individual head-to-head matchups.

This is a more general stats tool, but so far we’ve found the Venue & Team dropdowns to be most useful for BBL Supercoach.
