Raiders v Dragons
Sunday 14th August, 2pm
Try Scorer Tips
Jamal Fogarty FTS2H & LTS @ $51 and ATS @ $6.50 on TAB
Josh Papali’i ATS @ $7.25 on Sportsbet
Billy Burns FTS2H & LTS @ $61 & ATS2H @ $15 on Pointsbet
Seb Kris FTS @ $15 on Sportsbet & Neds
We think Billy Burns should play the end of the game on the edge for the Dragons with Josh McGuire named to start there. The $61 for him to score the last try would be around $41 if it was priced accurately so we think this is a great value pick.
Seb Kris has an incredible strike rate at scoring the first try in games, having done it 6 times in his 41 games so far. This is why we think the $15 on offer for him to score first against the Dragons is a good price.
Update Sun 14/8 – Billy Burns should play on the edge in the second half. We think the best way to play it is $15 to score a try anytime in the 2nd half on Pointsbet. Kris, Papali’i & Fogarty are pretty much the same price as earlier in the week and we still think they are great value plays.

NRL Draftstars Advice
We have a few good cheapie options in this contest including Jordan Rapana, Emre Guler and Michael Molo. Rapana has been quiet in recent weeks but this is a must-win game for the Raiders and he can easily surpass our model’s projection of 34 with his tackle breaking and try scoring ability. The Dragons pack is missing Tariq Sims and Francis Molo, so Michael Molo should get considerably more minutes. The Raiders’ pack is missing Joe Tapine so Guler gets a starting gig and our model’s projected score of 36 gives him a 9/10 in our value ratings.
There are only two players with ceiling ranges above 70 points. Hudson Young and Ben Hunt have both been in great form recently but we’re backing Hudson Young as the standout pick in this contest given it’s a must-win game for the Raiders and their left edge with him and Wighton is a focal point in attack.

Titans v Manly
Sunday 14th August, 4.05pm
Try Scorer Tips
Kieran Foran ATS @ $6 on Pointsbet
Ethan Bullemor LTS @ $61 and ATS2H @ $15 on Pointsbet
Bullemor has a great running game and he’s always one we’re waiting to find the right price for. He’ll likely finish the game out on the edge, likely for Andrew Davey. He’d likely be priced around $26-34 to score the last try if he was priced as an edge player so we absolutely love the $61 on Pointsbet for him to score the last try.
Kieran Foran is running at the frail right side edge defence for the Titans so we agree with our model that it’s a great value play to get on him to score a try anytime at $6.
Update Sun 14/8 – Bullemor should get some time on an edge in the second half so we think the best way to play it is the $15 for him to score a try anytime in the second half. Foran is still the same price for ATS and we still think it’s a really good value play.
You can find our free odds comparison tool here.
NRL Draftstars Advice
Brad Parker, Kieran Foran, Jason Saab & Christian Tuipulotu are all priced under $11,000 and are great value coming up against a Titans side whose season is over and has had a terrible defence all year.
There are 7 players with a ceiling range over 70, however, two of them are Marzhew (benched) and Clark (not playing at lock this game). Of the remaining 5 options, we think Cherry-Evans & Olakau’atu are the standout picks on Manly’s right edge. Cherry-Evans has been consistent with three scores in the mid 50s and Olakau’atu hasn’t been at his best in the last couple of games but what better way to return to form than up against the Titans.

Panthers v Storm
Thursday 11 August, 7.50pm
Try Scorer Tips
Tom Eisenhuth First Try Scorer (FTS) @ $51 on TAB
Kenny Bromwich FTS @ $41 on Neds
Nelson Asofa-Solomona FTS @ $81 on Neds
Jesse Bromwich FTS /LTS Team @ $67 on TAB
Tui Kamikamica FTS2H @ $101 & LTS Team @ $51 on TAB
The Storm middle forwards are priced really well in try scorer markets for this game. With Harry Grant at hooker, it’s not hard to see Jesse Bromwich, NAS or Kamikamica go over for a try. Watch out for final team lists an hour before the game to make sure they line up as expected. If they do, we love the $67 for Bromwich to score the Storm’s first try and NAS & Kamikamica are priced 40-50% higher on Neds & TAB than at other bookies.
Tom Eisenhuth will lineup on the Storm’s right side next to Cooper Johns. Although he won’t have Hughes alongside him, we love the $51 on offer for him to score the first try. Our model has him priced at $36 and he’s $41 or less on most other sites.
Kenny Bromwich is priced at $41 on the Storm’s left edge. He has the in-form Cam Munster next to him and with Hughes and Papenhuyzen out, we think the left edge will get more ball than usual for the Storm. Our model has him priced at $34 so we love the $41 on offer on Neds.
You can find our free odds comparison tool here.
NRL Draftstars Advice
Sunia Turuva ($9,000) takes Taylan May’s spot on the wing for the Panthers and is a great value pick up at basement price. Tom Eisenhuth & Jaemon Salmon are both priced around $10.5k and rated 9-10/10 in our value ratings. Salmon has scored a 38 and 51 in his last two games for the Panthers and should be a great value pick. Eisenhuth should get close to a full game on the Storm’s right edge and will be a good pick up if he can get close to the 45 points our model has him projected for.
Viliame Kikau & Izack Tago will be running at the Storm’s right side defence which has struggled for most of the 2022 season. On top of that, they’re missing Jahrome Hughes & Felise Kaufusi. Priced just under $17k and with a ceiling range around 70, both players are a great blend of value and upside in tonight’s $20,000 contest on Draftstars.
We have projected scores for each NRL Draftstars contest available on our stats bible. You can download these projections and upload them on to the cruncher on the Draftstars site.
Player Performance Markets
Jaemon Salmon – Most Tackles (Group 2) @ $3.30
With no Jahrome Hughes on the right and Munster in great form, we think Salmon will get through more work than O’Sullivan on the Panthers left. There’s also a chance Cam Munster plays part or all of the game at fullback (as he did last weekend) so this could be an even better value play by game time.

Warriors v Bulldogs
Friday 12th August, 6pm
Try Scorer Tips
Addin Fonua-Blake FTS @ $67 on TAB & Sportsbet
Raymond Faitala-Mariner FTS @ $34 on TAB & Sportsbet
Raymond Faitala-Mariner has been named at lock, however we think it’s safe to assume he plays on the Bulldogs’ left edge with Josh Jackson playing in the middle of the field. He’ll be running at Shaun Johnson’s right edge for the Warriors so we love the $34 for him to score the first try.
Fonua-Blake has been one of the Warriors’ best even in their worst losses in 2022. His FTS odds would be closer to $40 if you went by his historical strike rate, so seeing $67 for him to score the 1st try in a home game for the Warriors is a great price.
You can find our free odds comparison tool here.
NRL Draftstars Advice
Jake Averillo and Kyle Flanagan are two of the best priced players in this contest. Averillo has had a couple of quiet weeks in terms of DFS scoring whereas Flanagan had a great game last weekend scoring 59 points including a try. Even though the Warriors are at home, if the Bulldogs can continue to play their style of play then we think they can be great value for money. Jack Murchie and Raymond Faitala-Mariner are around $13k and have both been in impressive form. They both pass the eye test but they could both also easily pass the 43 points our model has them projected for.
There are six players with ceiling ranges over 70 points in this contest. Matt Burton has comfortably the highest projected score and ceiling range in this contest and we think he’s a lock. If you think the Dogs can continue their form then Kiraz and Addo-Carr are also good value picks with great upside so we’d recommend picking the three of them together.

Eels v Rabbitohs
Friday 12th August, 7.55pm
Try Scorer Tips
Cam Murray FTS @ $41 on Neds
Maika Sivo ATS @ $2 on Neds
Alex Johnston ATS @ $1.63 on Topsport
If you converted Murray’s career strike rate of scoring the 1st try in a game to betting odds it would be $17. We’ve found him at $41 on Neds. He’s been in great form and is priced at $34 or less at other bookies, we think it’s a great value play.
Update Fri 12/8 – Johnston & Sivo are now $1.72 and $2.10 respectively. Murray is still available at $41 to score the first try. We love the value for all 3 plays, especially the two left side wingers for both teams who have been in great form in recent weeks. Sivo’s career strike rate converted to betting odds would be $1.67 and our model has him priced at $1.72 so we think the $2.10 on offer is a clear value pick.

NRL Draftstars Advice
Jake Arthur looked in good form for the Eels in their win over Manly last weekend and it showed in his DFS score (50). He’s still only priced at $10,600 so we think he’s a good value pickup in this contest. There are 9 players with a ceiling range over 70 points so we’re expecting this to be a high scoring contest on Draftstars. Cody Walker and Dylan Brown are priced slightly cheaper then most of the other options so we like them as picks to give you exposure to upside without breaking the bank. Dylan Brown is coming off an 84 last weekend against Manly, having to step up without Mitch Moses in the team. Cody Walker was in cruise control against the Warriors but we expect him to have a more involved performance in Round 22.

Roosters v Cowboys
Saturday 13th August, 3pm
Try Scorer Tips
Tom Gilbert FTS @ $41 & 1st, 2nd or 3rd try @ $18 on TAB
Tom Gilbert has already scored the 1st try in a game twice in 2022. Since his Origin debut in the Decider a few weeks ago, he’s been starting on the left edge for the Cowboys before moving to the middle of the field. So we think getting on him to score the 1st try or one of the first three tries is the best way to play it. He’s priced at $34 or less on other sites and we especially love the $18 on offer for him to score any of the first three tries on TAB.
Update Sat 13/8 – Gilbert is still available at these odds on TAB and is a great value play to score early in the game.
You can find our free odds comparison tool here.
NRL Draftstars Advice
Paul Momirovski and Griffin Neame seem like two of the best value players in this contest under $10k. Both are projected to score in the low 30s but have shown their capabilities to score tries in recent weeks. The Cowboys’ pack is stacked though, so we would only suggest picking Neame if you need a cheap forward to complete your lineup.
There are seven players with ceiling ranges (average of their 3 highest DFS scores in 2022) over 70. Joey Manu had his quietest game in a while and still scored 41. Against a Cowboys team which is close to full-strength, we think he’s definitely a fade option at $22,040.
Jeremiah Nanai and Valentine Holmes are players that we think are worth considering leaving out as well. If you think it’ll be a tight contest between these two high calibre teams then we’d recommend players like Nat Butcher and Reece Robson. They can get through high tackle counts but also have attacking upside.

Wests Tigers v Sharks
Saturday 13th August, 5.30pm
Try Scorer Tips
Wade Graham FTS @ $34 and 1st or 2nd try @ $17 on Pointsbet
Braden Uele FTS @ $51 and ATS @ $8 on Topsport
Toby Rudolf FTS @ $67 on Topsport
James Roberts ATS @ $5.5 on TAB
Luke Garner FTS @ $81 & ATS @ $9.50 on Neds
Matt Ikuvalu FTS @ $17 & ATS @ $3 on Pointsbet
Our model has Wade Graham priced at $21 to score the first try so the $34 on offer on Pointsbet is one of the best value picks of the weekend. We’ve also suggested playing the 1st or 2nd try at $17.
Uele is one of the best try scoring middle forwards in the NRL and up against an understrength Tigers’ pack, we love the $51 for him to score first or $8 for him to score anytime.
Update Sat 13/8 – Matt Ikuvalu has been named in the centres for Talakai (ruled out). There’s a reasonable chance he plays on the wing, and if so, the odds of $17 and $3 for FTS & ATS are amazing value. Worst case scenario, you have decent odds for a Sharks outside back in a game where they should dispose of the Tigers comfortably. Wade Graham is now at $34 for FTS on Neds. Uele is still similar odds on Topsport and Rudolf is still above $61 on Topsport and Playup.
Luke Garner is available at middle forward odds and is named on the edge for the Tigers. He was in good try scoring form earlier this year so we love the odds available at Neds currently. James Roberts is still $5.50 on TAB which is also great value.
You can find our free odds comparison tool here.
NRL Draftstars Advice
Kade Dykes had a quiet game on debut, scoring 15 DFS points. However, priced at $10k against the much weaker Tigers outfit, we think he’s a great value pick. The standout value player of this contest is Braydon Trindall. He’s coming off a 49 last weekend with a try and our model has him projected to score 50 points. Even if he can come close to that, he’s a great pickup at $10,500.
There are six players in this contest with a ceiling range above 70 points. Both forward packs are close to full strength, so we think it’d be better to spend you money on the backs with high ceiling ranges. Hynes and Ramien seem the obvious choices with two of the highest ceiling ranges and playing together on the Sharks’ right edge.

Broncos v Knights
Saturday 13th August, 7.35pm
Try Scorer Tips
Anthony Milford ATS @ $8.5 on TAB
Jacob Saifiti FTS2H @ $101 on TAB
Daniel Saifiti FTS @ $101 on Neds
Matt Croker FTS @ $101 on Topsport/Playup
Update 13/8 – All four picks are available at close to the odds we had tipped them at earlier in the week. Jayden Brailey at $81 FTS (SB) & Dom Young at $3.10 ATS (Neds) look reasonable value as well but with Brisbane being such strong favourites, unfortunately we haven’t found any value picks for Broncos players.
You can find our free odds comparison tool here.
NRL Draftstars Advice
The Knights’ pack is missing Klemmer, Mann, Barnett & Fitzgibbon. So there’s plenty of minutes and base stats to be picked up by the players in their lineup. All four of their bench players are available at $9,000. Sue and Crossland are likely to get the most opportunity to get minutes in the pack so we think they’d be the best picks for your lineup. Te Maire Martin & Hoeter are in the Broncos back five and also at $9,000. In a game most fans are expecting the Broncos to win easily, we think they would also be good picks for your team.
The Saifiti brothers & Matt Croker are priced really well in a game where they’re likely to get significantly more minutes than usual. We think they’d be great picks in this contest. Given there are so many clear cheap/value picks, going with Adam Reynolds, Staggs & Cobbo on the Broncos’ right edge should be possible for most possible lineups and we think that’s the way to go.
