These teams are unpredictable in attack. A couple of players/combinations that stand out are Weekes and Whitehead on the Raiders’ right and Fainu the Tigers’ left edge backrower. Fainu seems destructive with ball in the hand and Olam has looked great also. Whether it’s for your multis or Fantasy/SC – we’ve been pleasantly with Weekes‘ game. He’s definitely passed the eye test!

Dolphins v Storm

Fri 21/6, 8pm

Wicky’s breakdown – The Storm are missing Grant and Coates (Origin) but do get Warbrick and Papenhuyzen back. The Dolphins are missing Felise Kaufusi & the Hammer (Origin) but get Jesse Bromwich back and big TPJ makes his return to the NRL!

The two clear trends in this game are the Storm prefer their left edge in attack (49% of their tries have been scored here) and their right edge concedes most of their tries (49%). Boom rookie Faalogo moves to the left wing position (for Coates) – so he could be a great pick for multis and a great additional number for SC and Fantasy players in a tough round.

On the left side for the Dolphins – Farnworth has been on fire at left centre. He’s played 5 games since his return from injury – breaking 33 tackles and scoring 2 tries in that time.

Titans v Warriors

Sat 22/6, 3pm

Wicky’s breakdown – The Warriors lose DWZ (suspended), Berry (injured), Barnett (Blues) and Capewell (Maroons) this week. They’ll want revenge on the Titans for their shock upset in NZ earlier this season. The Titans get David Fifita back but lose Klese Haas and Mo Fotuaika who have been huge for them in 2024.

The Titans’ attack was predictable earlier in the season – with Foran and David Fifita combining well on the left edge. With JC back, Foran has moved to the right side and theoretically this should have a positive impact on Alick, Fermor and Sami.

While SJ was out, TMM has been in excellent form and has activated the left edge in attack. The Warriors’ right has scored 43% of their tries and the Titans’ left has scored 41% of their tries. It’ll be interesting to see how Johnson’s 2nd game back and Foran’s move to the right impacts this game.

Roosters v Bulldogs

Sat 22/6, 5.30pm

Wicky’s breakdown – The Roosters are missing Crichton, Watson, Collins and Leniu due to Origin. They do get Dom Young and Brandon Smith back. The Dogs are missing Stephen Crichton (Origin) as well as Preston and Mann (injured).

These sides both concede most of their tries through their right edge – 59% for the Dogs and 49% for the Roosters. We can see Keary exposing the Dogs on the right with his own running game as well as Daniel Tupou at his disposal. The Dogs are missing Kikau and the Foxx on the left but Burton has a strong running game, it’ll be interesting to see if he has the confidence to use it!

Rabbitohs v Manly

Sat 22/6, 7.35pm

Wicky’s breakdown – Manly are missing DCE, Olakau’atu, Jake Trbojevic (Origin) as well as Garrick and Paseka (injured). The Bunnies are missing Trell and Cam Murray however they’re $1.47 favourites to make it 4 wins in a row!

The Rabbitohs have scored 57% of their tries through their left edge compared to only 16% on the right. However, as we discussed last week, Cody Walker moving to the right will activate their right edge – especially the winger, Jacob Gagai.

For Manly – if that right side runs out as named, it’ll likely be Lawton, Waddell (looked injured last week), Schoupp (new to the club) and Saab defending together. If this is the case – load up on AJ who has ‘only’ scored 4 tries in 8 games this season.
