NRL Fantasy Scout, Wicky & Kyle Bedford will be bringing you the most important news every week to help you with your NRL Fantasy teams!
This week, we cover our key players to buy, hold & sell + recapping how our teams went in Round 15 & key notes from the 10 teams playing in Round 16.
Buys/Holds/Sells
Buys
Jayden Campbell (WFB, $559K)
- Campbell has been impressive since coming back from injury, scoring 57 and 61. Another bonus is that he has been goal kicking
- He still looks to be underpriced at $559k, and could average around the 50-point mark with this role
- If he continues at five-eighth he’ll likely get DPP down the line
- His bye schedule is also very nice, available for R16 and R19, with R17 being his only bye left for the whole season
- There is some risk here of him losing his spot with Boyd in the reserves and/or Brimson returning in R18
- We think their best 17 however is with Foran, JC and Brimson in the spine
James Tedesco (WFB, $708K)
- Tedesco has been dropped for Origin 2, which is good news on the NRL Fantasy front. Removing his HIA game, he is averaging 54.4 ppg
- He is an elite keeper, and definitely someone you’ll want in your side sooner rather than later
- No Origin is massive for Teddy, as it removes the potential for any missed games due to restings
- His price is moving up quickly, and he has a lowish BE again this week, so now is a great time to pick him up

Holds
Reuben Garrick (CTR/WFB, $625K)
- Garrick unfortunately suffered 2 head knocks last week, with the second one being classed as a Category 1, meaning he misses this week
- This resulted in a score of just 5, and thus giving him a very high BE. On top of this Manly have the bye next round
- Despite all of this, however, Garrick remains a very reliable scorer and is probably a keeper at this stage. Taking out his 2 HIA games, he’s averaging 51.4
- Add that with his very handy CTR/WFB DPP, and the fact he plays Round 19 where WFB will be very tricky for a lot of people, we think it’s best to hold
Harry Grant (HOK, $657K)
- Grant has been scoring pretty poorly by his standards in recent weeks, with scores of 39 and 41 in the last 2 games
- He’s still the best hooker in the game for the run home, with no byes from Round 20 onwards
- Owners will just have to take the slight hit in the short-term for the long-term benefits

Sells
Jack De Belin (MID, $649K)
- De Belin is losing cash fast with a couple bad scores in a row. His last 2 games were scores of 21 and 36 in just 45 and 41 minutes respectively
- This is concerning as he needs his 60 minute role to be relevant
- With a breakeven in the 70s, we suggest selling to someone better
Jayden Brailey (HOK, $543K)
- Brailey has been benched for 2 weeks in a row now, with scores of 21 and 37
- Perhaps the bigger issue is how he’s actually played – he looks quite lethargic and lackluster, as well as being directly responsible for a few tries conceded
- Moreover, Crossland has impressed, which doesn’t bode well for Brailey’s chances of starting or even just playing bigger mins
- We wouldn’t be confident in Brailey starting consistently if we owned him, with his minutes probably changing drastically on a week to week basis
Kelma Tuilagi (EDG, $443K)
- Tuilagi is out for 5 weeks through injury and suspension. Easy sell

General Thoughts
Another solid week, rising up the overall leaderboard again. I was pretty aggressive using 4 trades last week to make sure I could field a full 17.
The 4 guys I brought in were Plath, Campbell, Sharpe and Katoa – who all did great.
I’ll look to keep attacking these bye rounds then try and survive the rest of the season.
Trade Thoughts
Currently I have 11 players due to the annoying Garrick and Twal injuries.
I’m thinking of probably grabbing Tedesco as a solid keeper now that he’s not playing Origin. I’ll probably end up playing with 12 this week as I need a CTR and I don’t particularly like any of the options.
I’ll have to decide who I sell to get Teddy, which will most likely be Garrick or Drinkwater.

General Thoughts
Considering I had 15 players (effectively 14 with Garrick’s 5 pointer) scoring 729, I am very pleased with only dropping down 900 ranks.
I could’ve made sideways/luxury trades mid round to get to at least 16 players, but I felt as if it would be a very short term thing to do, and not worth it for my team in the long run.
Extremely happy with the trade ins of Plath, Campbell and Hughes. Feel as if the team is in a really good spot.
Trade Thoughts
Have no real trade plans this week, as I am able to field a full 13 even with Twal being out.
Do want to sell Koula but there’s no one around his price point that interests me, so happy to just hold for the time being and wait for an option to pop up.
I always post my team and trades to my story before the round starts, so if you want to see what I do every week check out my page – @NRL Fantasy Scout on Instagram.
